Back pain again! What's going on? Is that what you ask yourself when your low back hurts? Well, it could be any number of things from muscle imbalance to lifting incorrectly to arthritis acting up. However, one thing often overlooked is that your back may hurt, simply, because your carrying your wallet in your back pocket. That is, when you sit on the wallet, the wallet acts as a wedge throwing out your pelvis alignment causing your back to hurt. As a chiropractor I feel it's my duty to tell my patients not to keep a wallet in their back pocket. I explain that due to the laws of nature pressure moves objects and since the pelvis moves three dimensionally, with a number of moving parts, the pelvis is easily thrown out of alignment.

Along with this, I let my patients in my Ann Arbor office know that I and other chiropractors are trained to reintroduce proper pelvic alignment. To do this, chiropractors use a very affective form of manual manipulation that doesn't require drugs or surgery. Chiropractic, is considered by many to be the best approach to fixing pelvic misalignment and stopping back pain.

It's simple. Just remember to keep your wallet in your front pocket and thus reduce your chances of getting low back pain. If you do have low back pain go to a chiropractor to get it fixed.
