Here are some steps that you can take to help strengthen your immune system:
Eating foods the foods that help strengthen your immune system. Generally, fruits and vegetables help strengthen the immune system. Also, Vitamin D has been shown to help strengthen the immune system. It has also been shown that a vitamin D deficiency can result in an increased risk of infections and sickness. Sun, cod liver oil, salmon tuna, are good sources of vitamin D. Furthermore,Vitamin D supplements are widely available. Vitamin E is another vitamin that helps support the immune system. Good sources of vitamin E are almonds, sunflower seeds, leafy greens, wheat germ and vegetable oils.
Getting enough sleep is also important in keeping your immune system strong. You should get about 8 hours of sleep a night.
You should exercise regularly. Regular exercise has been shown to reduce the number of colds one experiences.
Work to reduce the stress in your life. Stress reduces the number of white blood cells produced by the body which makes you more susceptible to infections/illness. Exercising regularly and eating healthful food can help you reduce mental and physical stress.
Visit a Doctor of Chiropractic regularly. Research has shown a positive effect on immune response after chiropractic care. Also, your Dr. of Chiropractic can help you heal faster and give you nutritional and life style information that can help you strengthen your immune system.
